Colin is a highly respected financial services executive with 27 years’ experience leading local, divisional and global teams of up to 6,000 people across 35 countries. Previously Colin held global c-suite roles at QBE including Group Chief Operations Officer, Group Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of QBE Australia and New Zealand. He was Chairman of Equator Re, QBE’s Bermuda-based captive reinsurer. He was President, Vice-President and a Director of the Insurance Council of Australia and a Director of Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance (ANZIIF).
Head of Emerging Technology
Mathew is based out in Newcastle, Australia and is an experienced technology leader, passionate about breaking new ground through emerging technologies.
Currently he is the Head of Emerging Technology for nib health funds and its associated group businesses, providing strategic thinking and thought leadership across a range of emerging technologies such as AI & ML, Health & Biotech, IoT, and Cloud and the way in which they could have an application across the business, with a focus on solving customer problems over predefined solutions.
He is driving a culture of experimentation through build, measure, learn approaches with a focus on incremental improvements and developing continuous learning patterns.

Michael is an InsureTech innovator and responsible for overall strategy relating to the Mercurien Group. Mercurien Insurance Pty Ltd is an underwiting agency specialising in light commercial vehicles.
Prior to forming Mercurien, Michael Graham was Managing Director of Landor Associates (Australia), a global marketing and brand development consultancy part of WPP Plc.
Michael's experience covers high-level management of professional services firms as well as marketing strategy and brand development in services, industrial markets and packaged goods in the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, China, Singapore, Korea, the United States and Australia.
Fraser believes that customer-centricity and innovation are the future of life insurance. He is the Programme Architect at Integrity, Australia’s newest InsurTech where he is responsible for building a technology platform that will fundamentally disrupt the industry. He leads a team of knowledgeable people, none of whom are content with the status quo and all of whom are laser focused on finding the best possible solutions.

Gordon Jones, the COO of Decisions, has founded and sold three companies with the last being built utilizing Decisions technology. Gordon also led a large manufacturing operation for a global supplier to the electronics and automotive industries overseeing multiple factories in North America and Asia (where he lived for nearly eight years). Gordon has an MBA from Duke University in the United States.

Angus joined LIU in January 2015 to oversee the casualty claims team across the Asia Pacific region working closely with underwriters, claims professionals and risk engineers to ensure optimum outcomes for the business. Since joining LIU he has taken on the management of additional claims portfolios including workers compensation and crisis management.
Angus has over 25 years of commercial and insurance experience including 18 years leading a casualty claims management, adjusting and investigation business. He has managed casualty claims and litigation across a wide variety of industries including construction, industrial, retail, energy and mining sectors for insurers, corporates and government entities.
Prior to joining LIU Angus was General Manager of a large Australian loss adjusting business overseeing all professional claims staff across multi-lines.
As CEO, Michael is leading JRNY's development of digital assistants to streamline quoting, purchase, claims lodging and renewal processes for insurance companies and brokers.

Naby Mariyam is Founder and CEO of Insurtech Startup Coverhero. Coverhero is a platform that helps consumers understand, manage all their insurance policies in one place using machine learning. Coverhero is part of the Qantas Avro Accelerator program. Naby Has 20 years of experience in research, Education, Management consulting and ventured into start-ups in the last 5 years. She is passionate about AR/VR, Machine learning and Technology. She Represented Australian and the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Summit in Berlin 2017.
Chief Data Officer
In this role, he is responsible for overseeing the entire end-to-end Data and Analytics function from leading Data strategy and governance through to implementing big data technology and delivering business outcomes using data science. Ash is a senior executive with over 20+ years of experience in management consulting across financial services, government, travel, utilities and retail industry.
He has extensive experience in leading complex technology transformation programmes, formulating and executing Advanced Analytics strategies, building data-driven solutions and delivering business consulting to top corporate institutions in Australia and New Zealand. Prior to joining QBE, Ash was Director at EY for advanced analytics and AI. He has also been involved in two start-ups and knows first-hand the joy and pain of running a start-up organisation.

Sally joined TAL in April 2016 as General Manager, Health after 7 years at Macquarie Life where she was responsible for managing the underwriting and claims teams as well as leading the insurance proposition.
Sally has a background as a medical doctor and has spent nearly 20 years in the Australian, South African and UK Insurance industry working in strategic leadership positions covering product design, marketing, sales and distribution roles. She has extensive experience in product, claims and underwriting, and in particular the ability to review these functions from a customer perspective as well as a business point of view.
Sally is passionate about challenging the norm, and is always looking for innovative ways to deliver to the needs of customers both from a product, risk and service perspective. Her role managing the Health Services team at TAL allows her to focus on adding value from a holistic health and medical perspective throughout the customer journey, whilst supporting internal health technical capabilities

Brian Siemsen was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Claim Central Consolidated in 2002.
Since then, Brian has built a business on his aspiration for the “standard” in claims management practices to be the intelligent use of insurance technologies and digital supply chain solutions, coupled with exceptionally talented people.
In 2017, Brian released an industry-first digitally connected claims eco-system platform to the insurance market, known as ClaimLogik, which has since been successfully deployed across four continents in: United States, Africa, Europe and New Zealand.
The ClaimLogik solution digitally connects carriers, brokers and customers to a supply chain of adjustors, field assessors, and building contractors on a single platform, which significantly reduces claims lifecycle and cost for insurers, and enhances the service experience for customers.
Chief Health Insurance Officer
Cecilia Warren leads IAG’s Research and Development function which collaborates with university and research partners to deliver insights on the nexus between emerging technology and human need in core themes of mobility, shelter and work. In mobility this includes MaaS, autonomous vehicle technology, safety assurance and liability, advanced driver assistance systems and testing, data, collaborative consumption, connected vehicles and smart cities. Cecilia’s experience canvasses over 15 years of research, innovation, policy and regulatory reform in both government and private sectors. Cecilia has a broad understanding of the socio-political context of connected and autonomous vehicles, including the challenge and complexity for regulation, insurance and liability. Cecilia currently serves on the Board of iMOVE Australia and has previously served on several motor industry and road safety advisory boards, including the Australian Driverless Vehicle Initiative (ADVI) and the ACT Road Safety Board. Cecilia holds a Bachelor of Science and Arts from the University of Sydney, and has studied fine art at the New York Studio School.

Andrew joined Gallagher as Head of Agency for Gallagher Australia in April 2018.
Prior to joining Gallagher, Andrew spent several years at IAG/Wesfarmers where he was most recently Chief Underwriting & Pricing Officer for IAG’s satellite division having previously managed Coles Insurance. Andrew worked across a number of portfolios including product & pricing, personal lines, strategic relationships as well as developing the distribution strategy to take a number of insurance brands to market.
An experienced manager, Andrew’s leadership of the Gallagher Agency team will help differentiate the business within the market, creating value in new and innovative ways, backed by smarter distribution. For brokers, it will give us a ‘one stop shop,’ providing all the tools and products needed, to deliver an easy and convenient solution for clients, including those in higher volume markets such as Schemes & Affinities.
Director – Research and Development Customer Labs
Tim Tez was appointed Chief Health Insurance Officer in July 2018, after he had re-joined AIA Australia as Chief Strategy Officer in 2017. He successfully led the local team in its acquisition of the Sovereign business in New Zealand and the proposed acquisition and integration of the Comminsure business in Australia.
Tim has over 18 years of experience in the life insurance industry with an extensive background across distribution, operations, strategy, reinsurance, product, pricing, marketing, strategy and government relations.
He previously worked for AIA where as Chief Marketing Officer he led the product, business development, pricing and marketing teams. During his initial stint at AIA Tim led the global team to successfully launch the world’s leading health & wellness program Vitality in Australia. Prior to AIA, Tim has worked in executive positions for MetLife, AXA and TAL. Tim is former Director of the Financial Services Council Life Insurance sub-committee and in 2015 was voted in the top 25 Chief Marketing Officers in Australia by CMO magazine. In 2016 his contribution to the industry was recognized by being voted “Asia’s Best Marketer” by CMO Asia. Tim has an MBA (Exec) from the Australian Graduate School of Management, a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning from Finsia and a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Marketing) from Sydney University.
